Festivals and Fairs

Visitors to Logan will be both surprised and pleased to discover the many amazing festival and fair events held in the vicinity. Ranging from the Cache County Fair to the Utah Ukulele Festival, there is something to pique everyone’s interests.

Baby Animal Days

The arrival of spring coincides with the beginning of the festival and fair season. Early in April a special treat awaits visitors to Logan, Baby Animals Days at the American West Heritage Center (AWHC). This event includes access to the center as well as the unique opportunity to  interact with many new baby animals that will provide treasured family  memories for years to come.

Cache Valley Gardener’s Market

Starting in May and ending in October, Logan hosts the Cache Valley Gardener’s  Market each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cache Historic Courthouse grounds. There you will find artisan crafts, ethnic foods, community booths, farm grown produce, and many other delights.

Summerfest Arts Faire

In June, artists pour into Logan for the Summerfest Arts Faire. Held on the grounds of the Historic Logan Tabernacle, the festival is well known to both artists and art-aficionados for the variety, beauty, and craftsmanship of the works on display. You can easily pass a lazy summer afternoon, strolling through many booths with their artistic displays all while nibbling on some culinary delight purchased from the adjoining food vendors.

Logan’s Utah Pioneer Day Celebration

Logan also celebrates Utah’s Pioneer Day, July 24th, in a very big way. Starting with a huge parade through town, the procession ends near Willow Park where children’s activities fill one side of the park and vendors of all sorts of goods and food fill the other side. There are other activities throughout the day culminating in a fantastic fireworks show in the evening sky sure to please any crowd.

Utah Ukulele Festival

Ukulele fans will be thrilled to hear about the Utah Ukulele Festival held in August in Logan at Willow Park. With live music, useful and fun workshops, vendors, and yummy food, no one will want to miss out on this out of the ordinary event.

Cache County Fair and Rodeo

Summer fun peaks with the Cache County Fair and Rodeo held at the Logan Fairground each August. All those baby animals from the spring are grown up and on display.  Dozens of vendors selling everything from rocks to water softeners line the grounds. Community displays of arts and crafts, amazing live entertainment, carnival rides, fabulous food, and tons of fun are all here for the taking. We can’t leave out the fabulous rodeo full of brave cowboys, bucking broncos, and good clean fun. It is an event you really do not want to miss.

Depending on when you visit, there are many other events you may want to look into such as the Chocolate Festival, the Cache Valley Cruise-In, or the Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous. The list goes on as does the fun, so be sure to check it all out.
